How to Make Your Own Otter Out of Air Dry Clay

Learn how to make you own otter with air dry clay! This simple otter tutorial was inspired by the wild otters in Singapore. While it’s illegal to keep a real otter as a pet, it’s way more fun to make your own pet otter!

First prepare the otter’s head

Make 2 smaller circles for the ears

Attached the ears to the otter’s head

Next we move to the nose. Make a cylinder shape as above

And stick on to the face

Then a smaller sphere for it’s mouth

and a semi-sphere for it’s nose

These are for the eyes.

A little red color to fit in the mouth as tongue

3 thin tear drop shape for the otter’s hair

Now we got the air dry clay otter’s head done

Next we move to the lower part of it’s body. Make a shape as shown above

For the legs

…and the feet

make 2 notches as shown for the feet

Finish the otter with 2 hands and a tail

Don’t be stingy! Give the otter a fish!
